Erlebnis Sennerei Zillertal - Alpine dairy in Mayrhofen
Why do some cheeses have holes in them? How is butter made? If you are looking for answers to questions such as these, you will get them right here, first-hand at Erlebnis Sennerei Zillertal one some 6,000 m² with 11 information stations. Here, you have the opportunity to taste dairy and cheese specialties and choose items on the menu from the dairy's own kitchen. In the dairy's shop, you are able to purchase select cheese specialties and handcrafted items to take home with you.
Opening times: daily from 10 - 11:30 am and 12:30 - 3 pm

Zillertalbahn Railway
The Zillertalbahn steam train - for over 100 years, the Zillertalbahn has been huffing and puffing through the valley. Experience a ride through the snow-covered winter landscape on this nostalgic train. One unique feature is the Crystal Wagon decorated with thousands of crystals.

Hintertuxer Glacier
Hintertux: 365 days a year of pure skiing enjoyment - take "Gletscherbus 3" (highest dual-cable gondola in the world) to the panoramic road at an elevation of 3,250 m, and enjoy the breathtaking view extending from the Großglockner to the Dolomites and even the Zugspitze!
Spannagel Cave - Hintertuxer Glacier
Below the Spannagelhaus on Hintertuxer glacier is access to an underground adventure: with a length of 10 km, the cave at the Spannagelhaus is Tyrol's most important cave and offers a glimpse of the high-alpine karstification of crystals, banded marble, etc. with a 500 m long viewing area.

An unforgettable vacation experience at elevations from 550 to 2,020 m! The Zillertaler Höhenstraße is one of Austria's most beautiful alpine roads. It offers every visitor a gorgeous panorama of the Zillertal Alps! The numerous snack stations and mountain inns along the road provide plenty of opportunities to stop for refreshments! Head out on the Zillertaler Höhenstraße, located very close to our campgrounds - have fun!
